Getting to Maui

The Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa is located on Ka'anapali Beach, about 27 miles (45 minutes) from Kahului Airport (OGG). Options include airport shuttles (e.g., SpeediShuttle), Uber/Lyft, or renting a car. It is a 10-15 minute drive from the smaller Kapalua West Maui Airport (JHM), which has limited, inter-island flights.

  • Kahului Airport (OGG) is the primary airport on the island of Maui and receives both overseas and interisland flights.
  • Kapalua Airport (JHM) is a smaller airport, located on the west side of the island of Maui.
From the Airport
It is best to have a pre-booked shuttle, ride-share (Uber/Lyft), taxi, or rental car. SpeediShuttle is a reliable option with a counter in baggage claim. For more information:

  • Maui Bus The County of Maui operates a public transit system that provides limited service to the airport. The Upcountry and Haiku Islander routes stop at the Kahului Airport. The Maui Bus stops at marked locations fronting the terminal. All of the routes are operated seven days a week, including all holidays. No transfers are given on any of the routes. All vehicles on the routes are ADA accessible.

Getting Around Maui

Getting around Maui from the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa in Ka'anapali is best achieved by renting a car for exploring the island or using Uber/taxis for shorter trips. A free trolley services the immediate Ka'anapali area.
